haha

ya I bet CA is BAD about that

I live in a pretty small town, 90k pop

cops here don't really bother you about little things, but they will hit you for hiding plates/ or any wreckless driving

I've never even had a cop say anything to me about having tires showing cords, riding with a permit at night, not having signals/mirrors, and not having eye protection

Re: mirror/no mirror

i like mirrors...for the lot and streets. my stockers keep flopping loose, and i keep an alan key handy. i'm getting rid of the fairing stay and getting bar mount mirror adapters for 10mm mirrors.

Re: mirror/no mirror

definatley looks better without the stock mounted mirrors, you could always get the bar mirror. But mirrors sure are nice on the street, not having to crane around all the time

if it were me I would get the a bar mirror and cut that giant 929 upper down

Look, I saved myself from a renewable $70 ticket....

Here in Hawaii, if you ride a bike, they are going to pull you over sooner or later, just cause. And they WILL go up and down your bike looking for something to write you for, they do it EVERY time....Granted i hear life is much nicer there in the mainland, but here, id rather not keep paying $70 over and over.

And also, Its nice having mirrors, i like knowing whats behind me without having to be TOO obvious about it, of course i still habitually look back when i turn or merge and ****, but mirrors are still just nice to have.

Re: mirror/no mirror

never had mirrors on my bikes unless its for an inspection, dun like 'em, trust my eyes before mirrors in which objects may be closer or farther then they appear, if it aint safe to look then i aint moven. i've seen bikes with "pig squares" on the air duct covers. i never been pulled over for 'em but i hear stories of laguna seca trips where 5-0 throws fits for mirrors, stock undertails, license plate lights, signals everything

Yup same deal, and here in hawaii, the island of oahu is so small, and more and more people are buying bikes and unlike the mainland, we dont have a track on the island, nothing, so every turnbanger is out on the highways using onramps/off ramps, so the law is cracking down on bikes BIG TIME out here, especially the last 3 months.

id rather just throw 2 bar end mirrors on and know my bike is still legal, ugly as sin, but legal.

Re: mirror/no mirror

here in good ol' Nebraska you dont have to have mirrors or turn signals... i never rode with mirrors even before i started to learn how to stunt ride. when i first got my bike and had the mirrors on it, i found myself always looking over my shoulder to check for cars anyways... so i figured i would just take em off.

No, but I have a KKK meeting and you are on the top of our list of ******s to kill. But our clan is different, we like wholesome African Americans who actually contribute to society, but you are the OTHER side of Black... you are a ******.
