Re: 636 sprocket gayness

it is easier to take it off with the chain on and have some one sit on the bike and hold the brake and if you have an impact gun it is even easier...

Re: 636 sprocket gayness

yeah bro what OMR said put the chain on in gear with some one on the bike and on the brake,

or if you look closely they fold that back flanged washer over the nut a little to keep it from backing off, fold that back a little and use a good impact gun,

i learned this lesson on my last 636, i beat the **** out of that thing, used a buddies impact gun from home....didnothing to the nut, took it to my hommies shop and used a real impact gun and it came right off.

ps...what wrong with 1 down in the front?

1 down in the front and 55 in the rear is golden!!!

Chain on, 2x4 through rim on top of swing arm. Start loosening when wood starts crunching use brake and have at it. I had to grind the socket down so it would grab better, edges on the opening were beveled.

leave the front on unless it's totally phucd and is dangerous. then just put a smaller sprocket on the rear. thats what i would do. :YEAH

Re: 636 sprocket gayness

If the nut is stripped, your only chance could be a Dremel. I would keep it on though, if it is not worn too bad. However, if it is in bad shape, it will make your chain go bad quicker....

I run 55 on the 07 600rr. Sweet as with a stock front. Retard proof wheelie machine.
