Heres the story I was going 84km/h in a 80km/h Zone but I passed the cop in 2nd gear sounded louder then I was but also I was speeding up for 60km/h to 80km/h as soon as I passed the cops red and blue lights... Cop walks up says you got some *****, takes me to his cruiser slammed me onto the hood of the car and started to search me and asks if I want to go to jail? I said for what I was doing 80km/h and passed you in 2nd gear and he said I am full of **** and that a 80km/h zone is not used to go and see how fast I can get to 80km/h I said theres no Law and he said quit being a smart *** and then said I am getting a ticket for dangerous driving... Then I asked him how that works and the he ran my ID/Papers and said go sit down and I'll see if I am giving you a $400 ticket or not, Then he came back asked him for my home phone number then he said his calling my Dad I said I am older then 18 years old I want your Name and Badge number and he flipped he said " Are you ******* kidding me right now... Are you ******* serious" He said your lucky I am giving you a warning and putting it in the system and calling your father and he drove off...? Any idea I kinda wanna report this Onion head.

I would report him for unprofessional behavior if he was cussing at you. I would see if it was on dash camera. Here in the states excessive acceleration to the speed limit is considered unsafe start and is a reckless driving ticket. If you are 18 dad has nothing to do with it unless up there parrents are responsible for you untill 21 but I thought you could drink and go to the tity bars up there at 18.

 

I live in Canada, No Dash Camera, and its 18 here and No law saying how fast you can get to the speed limit... and I wasn't going from 0km to 80km/h it was from 60km/h to 80km/h

I'da just stared at him and said whatever dude! most of the time there isnt much you can say or do..... hes either going to give you a ticket or he isnt.

I got a ticket back in 2001 by a short fat pig that had a thing against sport bikes..... the minute the word "Harley" comes out of his mouth YOU KNOW you're f*cked.!!!

I got a ticket because I pulled over with 3 of my buddies.... I didnt even have to stop, I was just pulling over so I didnt loose my group. The cop said I didnt have my helmet visor down, I said I DID and he snapped and started screaming and told me I was getting a ticket anyway, and lied to me and said it was going to go against my driving record..... 2 trips to court for it, he lied about the entire chain of events to the judge and to top it off, it was a meaningless ticket, no different than a burned out head light! the kicker was my fine...... $26.00 and 2 days wasted going to court for it. I still wished I would have choked the Prosecuting Attoney for making a scene in the court room and trying to embarrass me by telling me that they had a strong case against me.

sometimes cops just need to get beat up.... especially when they are alone!

+1 on the Harley thing Ysrrider. I got pulled over and the cop comes storming up rolls his sleeve up and says, "you see this, that tattoo doesn't say Suzuki." Knew I was in for it then.

dude, i wouldnt worry about it to be honest, he probly wont do anything he just wanted to scare you, me and 3 of my friends went out causing choas on main roads on fiddys, we were all doing combos and seat standers and that down a 3 lane road with traffic and a cop came up behind us and flicked on the lights, we pulled down the next street but one of my friends bolted and got away, the cop threw a huge mental at us and was swearing and going crazy saying **** like: "im gonna throw the fucken book at you, you think your soo cool in your little group breaking the law for fun, well im gonna give you guys a grand in fines each to straighten you out"

carryed on for ages, and eventally she left, so we all rode home and then we never got the fines.. but we were all gonna file for abuse because she swore so many times and we never swore at her, and we were all polite and she was just phyco and it was probly high tide at red beach so that couldnt have helped

 

I'm not going to side with either one of you, either the cop WAS being a dick or YOU were being *******, either way... if you "FEEL" you are being harassed getting a badge # isn't enough. You always DEMAND that he/she call their superior officer right away to be there, and if the officer refuses you call 911. Calling 911 puts a cop into his place quickly, and when you call 911 the 1st thing you say is; "I was pulled over for a traffic violation and Officer ________ is being verbally abusive. I need assistance immediately."

At that point, the cop will no longer be an *******... he will go by the book 100% and his/her superior officer will be there in a snap. But, the downside is you may have been let off with a warning before, after this it's HIGHLY unlikely you will be let off.

 

Thanks for the tip man I'll call his superior officer next time cause serious I did nothing wrong... he came at me being a dick 1st words out of his mouth was You got some ******* ***** turn it off get over to my cruiser... then I got tossed on I didn't even say a word... Untill I asked what I was getting searched for and he never told me by law... He has to tell me what his searching me for and he has no reason to search me in the 1st place... & the 1st words out of his mouth saying I am going to Jail? So then I opened my mouth...

 

And he knew he didn't do anything by the book cause as soon as name and badge number came he was covering his *** left right and center and just trying to get the traffic stop out of the way and me back on the road with no more time being wasted

But, anyways, what im getting at, is it IS illegal to excessivly accelerate IN THE USA.. I don't know about canada.. But I'm pretty sure you can't just go ***** to the walls to the speed limit as you please..public endangerment

I'd say suck it up, and be happy you got a warning.

 

+1... anyday without a ticket is a good day so just leave it at that. In the states it's called "Exhibition of Speed" if you are caught doing that, hell doing a BURNOUT at a DEAD STOP is Exhibition of Speed and in Colorado that's an 8-12 point violation... do not pass go, do not collect $200.... just collect a ticket.

Exhibition of acceleration, contest of speed, etc etc had them all in my z28.

now i just bone out, **** dealing with 'em.

 

let it go, he wont mess with u next time, but if u do, he catches a glimpse of u he's gonna make it hell for you. out here, it would be an exhibition of acceleration charge. hard to make stand in court though especially if u never break the speed limit. u don't need a lawyer especially if theres any bit of light traffic. u can always say u didn't wanna risk holding up the flow of traffic or if someone merges over unexpedtedly u wanna already be going so u can get out of the path easier.
