i dont understand....

why doesnt everyone who wants to stunt just put a hb on there bike before anything else.....

i dont even think the foot brake is really that safe......

i recommend to anyone trying to stunt...... skip the foot brake and get a hand brake

Re: i dont understand....

i hear what your saying and i do agree that every one should learn how to use there foot brake but i don't understand why people hate on people that set there bike up to stunt before they know how..

i mean if your serious about wanting to stunt then whats wrong with setting your bike up the right way .

Re: i dont understand....

Haha I admit I'm not a master at all for my foot brake but I already put a hb. Mostly though because I really love seat standers and would like to keep the risk of looping one to a minimum.

hes being sarcastic.

I agree with OMR to one exception. I know of two kids this season so far who have fully setup their bike but havn't rode it yet in three weeks. and then theres this other guy who shows up to the lot with a fully setup bike that literly sat there watch at the lot from like 11am to 6pm and didn't attempt one wheelie. so yea I can see where guru gets fed up. but for the most part if your serious about learning theres no problem with setting your bike up right away.

I mean a cage is good for ovious reasons. a bar is good for point of referance ( helped me know where I was at while learning coasters) and right after I learned idle I went to learning how to scrape. and also right after I learned idle I hoped up and learned SS in like an hour and learned ss idle in like a day or two. and gearing makes doing idle stuff alot easier. so what is so far fetched about fully setting your bike up right away if you have the money...

Re: i dont understand....

yea so i was thinkin about setting up my F4i with a HB right off the bat, because for some reason its really akward for me to bring them down with my foot brake, and im really serious about wanting to learn. so i will prolly do it as soon as i get the $$. i always thought there was some certain reason people always say to learn the foot brake before you even think of a HB...

Re: i dont understand....

it's just that the foot brake is used for most basic tricks and you should learn the basics before going to the hand brake

Re: i dont understand....

it's fundamentals...

i hate to sound like a football coach but
just like anything else, you always learn the fundamentals.

mastering the fundamentals with anything will always make you better all around

Re: i dont understand....

you have to understand where the oldschool guys are comming from..... it wasnt that long ago that people were ridding without handbrakes..... and this **** was the most gangster exclusive ****... there used to be a day when you would ride the streets and not be with 5 guys that have stunt bikes and dont stunt..... guru i remeber when i could watch videos of streets and not see anyone covering a hand brake. The only thing you need a hand brake on the street is coasters. I have seen people scrape everything with out HB. so next time you think about buying a hand brake....... think about how much more gangster it would be to scrape without 1
This sport is lame... it was beter off a bunch of holigans killin the streets
