Re: San Diego stunter makes the news
Id say that was pretty positive anyways. I mean if it was my spot id rage at the cop caller cuz that spot is now shut down for good, but for the news to be talking about it like that is pretty good. Not exactly calling us hooligans, just that we need a spot to go.
Re: San Diego stunter makes the news
That sux they lost there top secret stunt spot
Cop says not to practice in lots. OK let's go back to the highway
News reporter says work with popo and get a legal stunt spot:YEAH

Re: San Diego stunter makes the news
yes it was nice to look at it like that but if they only knew how much most of us have tried.....i'm tempted to contact the station and see if they will run a story on it.
Re: San Diego stunter makes the news
They probably will. What has worked here is go to the local drag strip, and offer to do a show or two for free in exchange for practice time for the year. Bring a news camera with you and they will be all over that **** even more so. Free advertising for the track, Now the track is the good guys for offering a place to go. Win win.

Re: San Diego stunter makes the news
here's the run down on it. The guy was a new rider trying to learn. That spot is pretty damn long so good for at new rider to learn. You could practice 2nd there if you wanted.
It was a FREAK ACCIDENT. He looped it and his foot got caught in the chain and sprocket. Not cool for ANYONE to be talking **** as for this could happen to ANY ONE OF US.
All in all, I would say this was positive coverage for us. From what I heard from several people the cops were cool as hell about the whole situation. As someone above mentioned, the news casters didnt bad mouth stunters. In fact mentioned that stuntriding is NOT illegal. Also suggested that stunters need a place to practice. Maybe this will open the eyes up to the cops and open some doors.
Oh yea, I got pics of the guys foot. Pretty gross. Should I post them?

Re: San Diego stunter makes the news
The messed up thing about it is all his "friends" all bounced out on him. There was only 1 person who stayed there who even knew his name. The kid is also diabetic and couldve died. I'll post pics as soon as my computer loads up. I'm no liar, I'll prove its true. LOL
Re: San Diego stunter makes the news
I wasn't directing anything I said at you. I honestly didnt even read your post. Hahaha. All good man. I don't agree with bringing thecops there either but when people saw his foot I think they freaked out. And there isn't a hospital close by.
