Bank or Dealership help

Ok, so here is how it is, I would like to pick up a bike from a dealership used or new:YEAH . But have no previous credit history, Im only 20, with a great job i have had for a year and cannot possibly lose (father owns it so it provides some job security ), and I was hoping some one on here who works with a bank or a dealership could contact me, I would like to buy a bike, and build my credit, Its not that i have bad credit, I just dont have any! I dont currently have any bills but my cellphone and i will travel to you if you have a dealership within like 7 hours of kansas city mo.

I know someone out there can help out!

Re: Bank or Dealership help

start looking for a co signer dealership ads will say good credit bad credit no credit we will finance you but thats to get u to call or go to a dealership but they will make you find a co-signer cause you wont have enough credit to get finaced by ur self, also when you buy a bike watch the documentation fees they should only be somewhere around $75 depending on the dealership. if u buy a new bike you will be charged a destination and frieght charge that should be around $200 a piece (kinda bullshit charges) just make sure you read all the paper work i have worked for dealerships and seen many people sign thier paperwork without reading it and get hosed, if they are tryin to milk money out of you it will be hidden in the fees. your total shouldnt be $700-$1000 more than msrp if thats what your starting price is

Re: Bank or Dealership help

it just depends if they have been selling alot of units u might be able to deal but if they havent sold anything theyll try and stay firm and make as much as they can off u, i can tell u that the best time to buy is at the end of the month cause they r tryin to get their sales #'s up thats when ull get the best deal, also watch the $69 a month promotions most of that payment will be intrest and u will get nailed with sumwhere around 22% on the remaning balance after the first two years so try to pay atleast double and use the low payment to fall back on if ur tight a month or two but after the to years refinance through ur bank and ull be ok

Dude, apply for a credit card and start your credit history... you will need it. Right now, you will probably get killed with a HIGH rate if by any chance you get approved. Now, you're speaking of this "great" job... why don't you just save up some money and buy it?

Re: Bank or Dealership help

cash down is key. I doubt the car industry is too far off from bike dealers. lenders are buying deep right now (economy conditions, many people forclosing on homes, bankruptcy is getting outta hand). like cars, bikes are more high risk than homes because you can't just hide a home in your buddies garage, but most lenders are feeling the economy crunch also. so, they are buying loans that are more high risk. auto rates on the average are lower than they have been for awhile. put money up front to get the price in line with nada or loan value loweringthe risk (in their eyes) and you should be fine. if not put it on the promo at the dealership, build credit for two years, and re finance at the end of it. but make sure you make a perfect payment history.

go for it.. you can get approved.
bring them your paystubs and a decent downpayment and you will ride out.. the % might not be that great but you will ride out of there

you can always refinance your loan 6 months down the road..

Re: Bank or Dealership help

Im thinking about doing the same thing, basically getting another bike for traveling 2 and from work. I'll probably go through my bank or my mothers credit union.

Re: Bank or Dealership help

Credit unions generally have lower apr... .With your credit only way you're really going to get a decent a deal is to put a good amount of money down.. I'm pretty sure nobody will really spot you a full loan with no credit history. Wel they wil but your APR will be huge
