Arrow 929/gearing problem

I spoke to a sales rep from sprocket specialists about getting a -2 front sprocket and they said that there was a problem with the 530 chains hitting the case. Are there any 929 owners running -2 in front? If so, have you had any problems with it? Let me know where you got the sprocket from. Thanks

I have a 14 front on both my 929's with no problems, I think maybe because I have a 55 rear that it lifts the chain high enough to clear the case, I could see having problems running a 14 front and a stock rear.

I'm running 48 on my bike, do you think I'll have clearing problems?

dont think you will have problems as long as you go up in the rear. my 954 is the same. i fell for the sprocket specialists guy and just ordered a 58 on the rear. same as 2 d 10 u

there is plenty of room. im thinkin about dropping 1 so it will be the same as 2d 12u

if you dont want a pizza for a rear wheel, then go 2d 10 u and you wont have a problem. my rear is so big it rubs on the top swingarm brace

Thumbs up

Try going to a 520 chain and that should work. The chain isn't as strong as the 530 but it's not like your racing it.

What the h#ll do you guys do for the chain? Just add more links or just buy another one? I just bought a new one for the new rearsprocket, I don't have the $ for another one. Any tips
