Re: Advice for denting?

dead blow hammer, little bondo if you **** up... and stomp grip to finish it off

doesnt get much easier then that. Just make sure you do it evenly to prevent cracking the outer of the gas cap

i jumped on it to get it started good......put your heels in the center of where you want your dent (i learned that the hard way)......then i used a rubber mallet to finish it and used grip tape

nick by the way you WILL chip the paint.

O and dont use grip tape cause in a month ull spend as much on pants as u would on a new tank . i bondod my tank and then used spray on bed liner and then painted over that with the color that i wanted the tank and it works great and no holes in the pants
Did the same thing to mine...except I didn't paint over the grip on top, left it unpainted.

Re: Advice for denting?

Dead blows suck, they don't give you much control when shaping it.

Ball peen is whats up.

HAHA maybe you suck then but dead blow to get most of it and then use a smaller mallet to fine tune

Well I just asked depending on the style of dent you wanted but sounds like you only have one option and that's how everyone does they're 05 636 dents like Otown style sorta...Hmm I wouldn't have any idea on how that's done.
