The 05-06 are not stronger than the 03-04. Ask Bubash or Dryden they have both gone through 05-06 forks.

Re: 636 Fork Breakage

i put an 05 zx10 front end on my 03 636, whole ******* thing, just pressed 636 stem out of lower trip and pressed into zx10 lower trip, that way stem is long enough, all races, bearings work just fine, used zx10 wheel rotors, the whole thing works, just need to switch that stem because 636 trip wont fit over forks on bottom trip, message me if you have ? i just did it, took like 3 hrs including shop time to press stems out and in

Re: 636 Fork Breakage

yeah an inch shorter and yeah with db it dont matter, most liter bike front ends are shorter, so anyone rockin em just deals with it, aint that bad, just adapt, alot better than snappin some **** right? Inch really doesnt feel that different
