check the sensor that is on the head under the headers..... i missed that **** when i put the new motor in my bike and it took about 30min to figure out

 

id check the main ground on the bottom/back of the block...happened to 1 of my friends and it did the same thing.....

also once when i swapped a motor i had 2 pugs that looked the same plugged inot the wrong sides....

and aslo check the feul pump connection...the actual connnecotrs inside the plug may have gotten fucked up and not making a good connection

 

Are you getting any diagnostic codes?

If so, find out what they are, AND TRUST THEM!






Recently swaped a 600rr for a friend... afterwords woudn't start.. ECU said it was a number 2 injector error.. We looked all over the bike for disconnected wires for about 3-4 hours..
Then finally we noticed a TINY rip in the number 2 injector wire...

What idiots we felt like.. Should have believed the ECU code, and traced the number 2 injector wire

 

it is plugged in and have switched it out

 

have checked all these things,

 

check the cam sensor on the front of the motor. sounds like that might be it or the pulser sensor. the pulser sensor is in the little case cover right next to the clutch cover.

 

alright guys, heres the story. after 7 hrs of freakin out and anxiety attacks cause i was thinkin i fucked sumthin up when i switched the trannys i drove 3hrs to completely stripp devins 636 of any and all electrical parts. i went to the shop sunday mornin and started swappin ****, ecu, tip over sensor, blah blah blah. well finnaly when we switched the key ignition wala, the fuel pump came on got everything wrapped up and proceeded to ride. well 10 hrs of frustration, one shitty night of sleep tryin to figure out what was wrong with it in my sleep. and the thing is running and no longer kickin itself out of 1st gear. it also shifts smoother than it ever has so i am now very happy and riding again. thanks everybody for there help. i can now sleep peacefully at night:YEAH

Can you change the tranny on 636's without complete dissasembly?



Like, did you NOT have to pull the head/pistons/crank to do your tranny?


If so, that is DOPE! wish my honda was like that so I could throw another 2nd gear in!

But **** a whole rebuild for 2nd gear..

 

thank goodness you got it running kinda weird how the ignition took a **** all o a sudden like that...glad to hear your back in action you know the stunt world needs you jb we cannot go on without you..............
