Re: pros and cons stunting r6

the 03-05 have a ton more power than the f4i and are easy to toss around.......But DONT try to scrap the tail or you will snap the sub-frame.....P.M. Old Man Roger about a sub-cage it will stiffen up the subframe a lot so it wont twist side to side on stand ups. And the pegs are moved down and back a bit ....

also I think the tail is a bit to wide right above the pass. pegs.....I fixed that problem on mine....(before I got the sub-cage)

Re: pros and cons stunting r6

very decent power. very light. kinda twitchy in the throttle. stock subframes are very brittle. rear pegs location does suck ***. fairing stay brackets seems to break easy too. oh, and the stock clip-ons can snap without warning, get aftermarket ones.

thats all i can think of for now...

Re: pros and cons stunting r6

you cant really stand on the rear pegs because of the plastic. it bulges out and pushes your foot off the peg. I had one but sold it after only a couple months. They have pretty good torque. They feel real small and light. Goodluck though, it should be sweet.

Re: pros and cons stunting r6

the omr subcages help a lot with the rear pegs. ur leg isnt rubbing or being pushed off by the tail anymore. i think it definite must for an R6

Re: pros and cons stunting r6

does the omr sub make that much difference really? a buddy of mine has an 03 and when I rode it the peg-positioning was absolutely horrible... completely turned me off on the r6.

Re: pros and cons stunting r6

stock is 525. I've got an 04 R6 but haven't ridden it since I got a f4i. I braced the subframe when I put a round bar on it. After that it was solid.

Fiberglass...

I wrapped the outside in masking tape to give it the shape I wanted then put 3 layers of glass on the inside... let it dry and pull the tape scuff and paint

Talking Re: pros and cons stunting r6

Man that OMR subcage is awesome , I need to get me one! i like the strength and support plus folding pegs that are set at a nice angle so they don't fold in a stand up. I want one!!
