What tire sizes are you guys running on the 1000s?
i have a 07 r1 that i do mostly reg. street riding on but i also love the twistys too. Im getting new tires and i was wondering if you guys think that a 190/55/17 would make for harder wheelies

i heard a 55 turns in fast and hard so i just thought it would be maybe alot harder to balance with.

Re: Do you have a 190/55/17...

most ppl are wheelying on 180 55 which turns in way faster than a 190/55 and its not a problem. 99% of the time if someone is having trouble doing wheelies its them not the bike. there are set ups that will make you feel more comfortable but all in all if you can ride balance point wheelies you can ride them on anything. when i get a brand new rear tire sometimes it takes me like 5 mins before i can even catch idle, but within 15 mins im doing everything i could do before. just gotta adjust your riding to suit the new feel of the bike thats all.
