Crash cage vs Extended frame sliders
Crash cage vs Extended frame sliders
So, i just got a 04 636 and i wanted to get some sort of crash protection on it. i dont really want a cage cuz iam not going to be doing any crazy stunts or combos, just some wheelies stoppies and tank wheelies. i just wanted to know any oppions on extended frame sliders and passenger peg sliders compared to cages
Re: Crash cage vs Extended frame sliders
i had some extended freestyle ingenuity sliders, and all they ever did in a hard fall was bend the engine bolt upward making the slider all cocked up

Re: Crash cage vs Extended frame sliders
Hm ok so i did some research and i guess the 905 is garbage and out dated and evry one seems to like Power Stuntworx. so if i got powerstuntworx race rails and a powerworx sub cage would that protect my bike and fairings prety good from some drops and small crashes?
Re: Crash cage vs Extended frame sliders
just get a sickinnovations cage, you will have to do a little cutting to your fairings but its not hard to make it look good (even though my fairings are chopped up pretty bad lol) and you can still hit turns and do whatever you want to with your pow pow redline tank wheelies
Re: Crash cage vs Extended frame sliders
A cage will give you the most protection. I had sliders on my bike clutched at a dead stop and lost the bike. I had to weld the block and retap the engine mount.

yeah but anyways powers race rails look really weak. But the 905 ones look pretty damn strong like they can really take a beating.
