I woudnt think so they most likely get hotter then 400 degrees they will see in the oven just being used hard on the bike...

How would you mask off the buttons thou? If your not going to dissasemble them and use new buttons?

mine were tapped off... and put in the oven... i powder coated my galpher rotors... i called them and they said it was fine cause most rotors can stand up to 650 degrees...before it starts to effect the area that is getting powder coated... i didnt powder coat them ... i took them to a shop ... but i dont think a powder coat oven gets over like 500 degrees for some rotors

I carefully tapped off each of the round pieces that the blade floats on, and the entire blade.... It dosen't come out perfect, but close enough.

The connectors look as though they're some type of rivet.... like a press fit connector ?

Whatever they are I wouldn't try to take them apart and back together.

Your correct the OEM buttons are rivited/pressed toghther, and if you drill or grind them off they cant be resued...What you do in that situation is buy a set of aftermarket floating buttons...There are a few aftermarket buttons on the market, and those use clips so you can dissasemble and reuse them...

Heres a set for Ducati rotors on Ebay, you can get them for differnt bike and in differnt colours

well the wheels werent painted, they were powdercoated, so the road grime never stuck to it, it always wiped clean with ease. what does that 1098 feel like? i sold my 998 and never really liked the look of the 999 or 749's but i think they came back great with that 1098, but what does it ride like?

Re: Powder coating rotors? Does it warp them?

I've powdercoated a few sets of rotors including my own. I always just mask off the outsides and do the inners. You may get a little bit of wear off onto the pads, but after a few miles, you'll never know you had them coated.

**** it rides just like the rest of them imo... but it has tons of power.... not quite jap power but massive for a ducati.... the after market parts are of the hook... i bought a termignoni exhaust ..that **** was 2999 .... but it sounds nasty... i would wait and get that bitch used... though in a year for like 5 to 7 grand less then sticker

Big dawg went for the full exhaust. I had the termignoni slip on for both my 996 and 999 and it sounded crazy. But as soon as I got into the whole wheelie thing the Duc sat in the garage for months so I sold mine. I think I paid 1500 for the slip on All Ducati parts are expensive

Re: Powder coating rotors? Does it warp them?

yeah i had termignoni on my 996 but went with arrow on the 998. much louder. just sounded plain sick! the ducatis actually wheelied really nice, had so much low end, it just came up nice and smooth, was a breeze.
