i jus added a 03 636 to my bike collection...

when its cold it has a slight ticking...
when its warm it goes away...
do these things need cam chain tensioners to?

of does it jus need a valve job or?

also...

what recomended mods to these things...

whats everyone using for gearing...

im thinkn bout tosn the new full throttle dealio on it...
its got a garbage hand brake an adapter.. but works...

its got a 905 cage but im tossn that **** asap

the 636 ticks, to get rid of it just turn up the idle... then you cant hear it

the ho hey triple and dual caliper is a must bro... i got both and they are the ****... top 5 investment on the bike.... if you want the full throttle thing i think son dooby has one for dirt cheap in the parts thread.... get it ...it is brand new ...and like 50 said kleen air is a must and the all kawi's have that tick...for some reason after about 2500 miles... just get worried when it becomes a knock...lol ..congrats on the bike... get you a pimp as stasis sprocket bro... then you will be balling...lol

 

best mod i can think of is sell it for another f4i....even though i know you haven't had much luck with yours. i still don't get how you blow engines like a ***** trying to make rent.

 

theres a big black box with hoses coming into it on the left side.. what is this?

and i jus took off the upper... its got a scotts dampner allready..

and so the kickstand doesnt shut off the bike an the to wire it so i can start it in any gear...

oh yea an what gearing are you guys using?

stock front and 55? 60? rear

 

ummm.. i would get the manuel cct, for the kickstand, just cut the 2 wires going into it and twist em together and the fan i would hard wire...

i havent done it yet bu i believe you just put a toggle switch attached to the 2 wires that go to it to form like an H

 

yeah number 2 runs rev limit coasters all day and has had his for 2 1/2 years or so.....**** happens i guess.

the black box is the cali emissions thingy ma bob i think you can take it off but i don't know the details. most of the guys i ride with that have 63's run about 55t rear since the 63 has more power than an f4i it works fine. recommend the tyger shark cage for it and round bar.

don't recommend sub cage you'll bend the subframe in no time

 

no subcage on it? thats crazy that it bemds with them.

i'd say vortex clips since your already used to em.

my boy bent the **** out of his subframe the other night due to the sub cage.....sub cages are great if you make your subframe strong enough to support it but think you have a non flexing steel sub cage and an aluminum flexing subframe.....what's the logical answer as to what will happen?

My dirtbike ticks but I think that might be because of the different block size and my car does a slight ticking when it first warms up. Its done it since the day I bought it.
