Thumbs up 05 636 brake 'clapping' noise

just got my **** back together with new rearset and brake lever... but i noticed the bike 'clapping' now when i stab the brakes.. i know it's the caliper floating on the mount on the inside of the swingarm, but has anyone fixed/addressed this issue?

also i bled the brakes out about a resvoir's worth and i have to actually push HARD to get the back tire to lock up now. I'm thinking it's the pads.. but was hoping someone else has fought this already. I bought the bike and never rode it, so i'm not sure if it's always been like this or not.

check the brake pads to see if they are bent, sometimes they warp and get caught on the bar they slide on making noises

Do you have the correct banjo bolt in the rear caliper? I had one that was a little long and it caused my seal to calapse. Plus mine wouldnt bleed for ****. It constantly had air but it wouldnt leak fluid out. Doubt this is your problem though.

How tight is your rear axle? Sometimes people dont tighten them enough and that allows the caliper braket to move back and forth slapping against the tab on the inside of the swingarm that holds it in place....

Good call, i'll bust out the tq wrench and check the axle nut.

gonna toss new pads on today if i can find some too, these look they had a hard life in the past.

thanks for suggestions, i didn't even think about axle nut. i'll post up if/when i find the problem.
