questions on gsxr 750 k7

all about a gsxr750 2007:

- idle mod: same as f4i? what cable??
- how are the brakes?
- how is it for stoppies?
- stuntex a must (i guess thats a yes..)
- what gearing, +10 or more?
- cooling problems? wiring the fan is sufficient?
- clearance issues with vortex clipons? possible to run them on top?

any tips or tricks?

UM....What? great, great, don't make it,I'm up17, and none, so far, and I got FI clip-on's on top. the K6 is pretty much the same as the K7 and the 650 and 750 is the same too.....

subframes need massive bracing.... it's a 3 piece design... Here's my K6 6

- I use an f4i cable
- still running stock brakes on my non stretched gsxr
- stoppies you either roll far or not at all (its good but the balance point is small) but i like how it rolls
- i don't have a stuntex and have had no problems
- i have a 60 tooth which is 17 up
- no cooling problems and the fan is not straight wired
- i have fi clipons under the triple and i'm running full fairing.
TIP: Don't put a bar on it unless you get a subframe from Dragnazz
Trick: Get a race tail or fiberglass our stock one to make it one piece.

hope this helps. hit me up if you have an other questions.

Re: questions on gsxr 750 k7

Why did I write 650 in my last post?! haha what a dork I am! haha

Naw.... you can do the same with diamond treadplate and a welder. But dragnazz gets pretty solid lookin stuff too though if you got the coin, and everyone seems to like it...

+1 on the tail plastics don't stay on very well also that's right! I need to put a plate there for seatstanders for sure, and I think it'll help that....

Definately weak in entire tailsection!! That's literally my only complaint so far.....passenger pegs flex something fierce!! And sorry that was a really crappy pic..
I got pics of the build up too... every step....

OH... and don't forget about blockin the pair valve with a marble, takin off the exhaust servo, cables, and crap, and doin the tilt sensor also.....

Are you goin full fairing or streetfighter?

did you change ur exhaust or is it all stock?

just helps it smoothen out, and gives it like 2 hp and makes it louder when you do the set valve.. and the pair is just for some venturi air intake to burn off excess gasses for emissions and my bike would backfire some with it like that...

Re: questions on gsxr 750 k7

first off +1 for gixxer stunter!:YEAH brakes good ...endoes good...bike is great!!!!tail section needs reinforcement.. i put a steel plate underneath and it seems to be working fine. i put a bracket that holds the headlight up from underneath it..that welds to the stay for more support. only problem i have right now is the TANK!.. its hard to stand frog circles and sit on for spreaders circles...but im gonna figure somethin out soon for that. ..and i run FULL FAIRING! with a 62 sprocket.Name: DSC03013.jpg

Re: questions on gsxr 750 k7

oh and i welded the clip ons so i wouldnt have to lower the bike... cause it hits if you do with full fairing... in the picture shows the first test.. which broke.. cause i left a gap so it could be clamped still... but now its welded all the way round with gussets... and i cut a slip that goes with the tripple clamp so it can still be clamp

running flipped vortex clip ons

Re: questions on gsxr 750 k7

yea, that tank no matter how you dent it comes up being pretty narrow in back, so it's a good thing I'm skinny!!
And also I didn't put my forks flush with the top of the clip on's either... and the surfboard stuff seems to be helping so far with the tank...

I'll attach some more pics of what I did to mine, but you guys are admittedly way more advanced that me too... good luck!

I just replied to your PM.... no, just my gas cap! it was a shmoretex from china whole thing for $50. and got it in like 5 days!

I feel like I'm getting set up for a joke or something! LOL

no man... I actually rolled this bike off the showroom floor when the honda/kawi dealership told me that they couldn't get me an 06 F4i (it was sept of 06) and the 636 and 600RR was a full thousand dollars more than the zook dealership wanted for this bike.

It's not a salvage title bike (yet...LOL) or anything.. I gave like 8 G's for it..... and yes it was actually on purpose!

good luck da Liks! post up when you get it!
