Dirt Bars are a preference really...Most people that run them have rode Dirtbikes alot in their life and prefer the feel...

I run dirtbike bars myself....

Had a yz 250, busted my knee, knee is to F#k3d for dirt so 2 yrs ago I traded for a leaner. I just think high chairs would be more comfortable havin higher bars.

every dude that starts stunting things they need/want dirt bike bars......im telling you right now from personal experience it offers you no real advantage over a nice set of flipped clip ons. and it looks like ****. 90% of the pro riders that used to rock dirt bars have gone back to clip ons there are very few that still have the dirt bars. so if its not going to make you a better rider then why would you want to make your bike look like **** for nothing? ill say it again, dirt bars DO NOT ADD SKILL. if you can do it on dirt bars u can do with clip ons.

I run dirtbike bars on my 600rr cause it gives me more room for my body. I like the way it looks and the fat bars have some flex so they are easier on your wrist. bars dont give you any advantage in fact they give you less clearance than if you had clipons on top, which gives you interference issues with the rad. if you get bars you will have to get longer brakelines and fab up some kind of mount.

yeah thats what im trying to get at. if youre a big dude and clip ons are really uncomfortable for you then i understand totally (still disagree on the looks part lol) but right theres no advantage to the bars. all these new dudes think that puttin some dirtbars on their bike is gonna make em an overnight stunter.

I have run both and like the feel of db bars better. just personal preferance. either you like them or you dont. try it and if you dont like them put your clip-ons back on.
