I'd just like to add that adjusting your carbs and leaning em out is a bad idea. Thats a pretty shitty tradeoff for just a couple of extra seconds before the bowls run dry. Cause that doesnt fix the problem with the floats. Not to mention all the extra carbon deposit you will get on your pistons. If you know what you are doing, do it. I am just posting this so people that dont know dont run out and lean their bike out and end up with a toasted motor.
you know your ****. I was thinking of taking automotive coolant hoses and making custom carburetor boots that are a little longer and will let me angle my carbs forward so theyre more level in a coaster.

I had a 96 GSXR750...same problem. Ran great except for 12's. I think that there is no fix for the problem. If you position your carbs where gravity keeps the gas from going down into the motor(12 o'clock), then no gas is going to go into the motor. Fuel injection sprays the gas in so no issue.

AGREED COMPLETELY, it will toast your motor easier, i did write that it is hell on your motor, but you are right, see, my 900rr floods out on the bar, i didnt lean it out too much, im stock exhaust and jets, i just put a k&n air filter on and it was enough to help the situation..it gave it just enough air to keep it going, of course im not doing bar tricks either...

bill has it on the nose....900's flood on the bar because the floats stay open.

Tip over switch is designed so the FI stops running when on it's side. So 1998 on had the Tip switch, and 1997 and older (carbed) just run out of fuel so they don't need a Tip switch, FWIW.
