Re: frembo ???
I pretty much spent all day today fiddling with mine trying to get it to work.
I'm runnin mine with a full throttle master, not the fitting. My old hand brake was a 636 master, and it would lock up clutch in, with a hard pull, with one finger.
I went through all the bleeding motions with this frembo. With the adjuster on the frembo all the way out, it would nearly lock the tire if I pulled the lever all the way to the bar, two or three fingers.
I re-bleed, over and over and over. At the handle bar, and at the caliper. I continued to bleed cracking all of the fittings. I used both a vacuum bleeder and the conventional method. Still crap. When I would turn the adjuster in so that I could reach the lever with my finger, the hand brake would hardly do anything. The only way it would work is if the throw on the lever was all the way out, far enough that I had to take my hand off the bar to reach it. No good.
So, as a last resort I went to the dealer and bought new brake pads too. Still crap.
Im gonna give it another go tomorrow after it sits all night. Hopefully this is a bleeding issue, but I really don't think so. The feel at the lever is just spongy. The feel is just terrible. It doesn't bite at all.
Thoughts?

Re: frembo ???
the zip tie trick only works if you suck at bleeding.... ie: you still have air in the line.
if you have a dual caliper setup (single line) then it should only take a minute or 3 AT MOST to get a firm lever feel.... that's w/ ANY master.
Maybe the "frembo" has bad seals....
Check this.... when you grab it all the way back to the bar and hold it there... does it lose pressure??? Or does it stay tight?
That will tell you if you have bad seals. If you still have sponge feel after a "good" bleed then the frembo is junk. (or you still have air in the line).
Re: frembo ???
there's NO WAY a stock anything master feels as good as a dual setup w/ a real brembo 16/18.

This is my third handbrake, so I kinda like to think I know whats up. But I always have trouble bleeding. Im gonna give it another go tomorrow.
Re: frembo ???
I've run both an FTI master and an FTI adapter with an 07 636 Nissan master (same as the 1000rr) and it feels just as good as a Brembo 16mm and a dual stock size caliper setup. And I've rode LOTS of bikes with different setups. The only way to make a noticeable difference with dual calipers is to upgrade to a multi-piston setup. All different setups I've tried have been used to tuck in and out of HC circles, off peg coasters, and all applicable handbrake tricks. In fact, one of the best setups I've had to date is that 11/16 Nissan master and an FTI adapter. And thats one of the cheapest setups on the market, out the door for 250.

I personally think that eliminates teh whole reason in running dual caliper, to ugprade brakeing power
instead, your just adding a second braking system, that has the same force
Dual caliper with a front caliper is the way to go IMO.. ALthough I've never rode one, just looking at the design SCREAMS power! :YEAH :YEAH

IMHO, I woudln't even waste time with a dual caliper setup that uses a stock rear

Re: frembo ???
hmmmmmmm these things sound like the good ol' chinese pocket bikes.... the one I bought for $300 f'n ripped!!!!! but some of my buddies werent so lucky... one of my buddies had to shim the needle in the carb with a 1/4 hex nut because the crank case was leaking air and it wouldnt idle....
I think im gonna try a frembo... they are $20 + 30 shipping on Egay... I've spent $50 in worse ways! LOL!!!!!!!
