need advice on a sprocket kit

I want to get a sprocket kit that is easy to lift my bike up at slow speeds but easy to balance when i have it up. also i would still like to be able to go fast without it lifting in higher gears. my bike is an o6 cbr600rr stock. Can anyone help me out?

-1 +2 gearing change from the stock gearing ratio should suit your needs

Re: need advice on a sprocket kit

try a 14 tooth up front....if thats not enough for ya, go up 2-3 (45-46) in the rear and buy a 15 front.
change between the stock 16, 15, and 14 fronts and stock rear and maybe a 3 up rear (46 teeth)

I ran stock up front and a 50 tooth on the rear when I rode my 03 RR on the street....smoked cops easy and wheelied great on the street and did ok in the lot.

ha ha you beat me to it bro... i had a 600rr 04 custom... i rode that thing everywhere...street and lot... took alot of skill at the lot... beat surely kills the street... you still are gonna have to have some good technique if you plan on doing blox in third gear. i ran stock in front and 50 in the rear... i could still easily do 135... anything over that ...it seemed like it was gonna blow up i got a custom 50 tooth sprocket for sell... partner maybe some of my street killing skill will come with it..if you want to buy it and if all else fails... you sure will look like you know how to do blox

Re: need advice on a sprocket kit

i might be interested in this sprocket. i got an f4i and was plannin on goin 52 in the back, one down in front. if i went 2 down in the front(with the 50 tooth) would it equal a 1 down, 52 tooth setup? confusing, i know.
oh, and who's on second, cause idunno's on third

well from my knowledge and others... going down one tooth in the front is equivilent of going up 4 in the rear. or something like that ... -1 in the front and 50 tooth in the rear is plenty for the streets... i think -2 in the front will be a over kill...it would be nice for the lot ... but not the streets...oh and i am on second buddy ...hit me if you need the sprocket

Just practice a little at a time with the gas and clutch like https://www.stuntlife.com/forums/443...ing-basic.html. -1, +3 or just plus 5 to 8 in the back would be a nice balance for anything till your a lot master. Im +5 in the back and have plenty of top speed. I got a Vortex aluminum and its dying at 6 mos or so. Im going steel next time, about +8?

yeah do what he said practice... you should be able to clutch it up in second with the stock gearing...but it sounds as if you are just gasing the **** out of it ..and no clucthing....practice clucthing and you will be presently surprised at how much easier wheeling is.... or you may just get presently surprised...if you know what i mean... good luck

Don't regear it at all.

re-gearing makes wheelies harder, you wont be better because of sprockets.

You should be able to pop a wheelie up from a complete stop, and keep it under 10mph with stock gearing.. IF you can't do that, gearing wont make you hit under 10mph!

To figure out the ratios its super easy..

just divide the rear sprocket, by the front sprocket, and you have your ratio..

IE: a 50/15 setup, would be 1 tooth up front = 3.33 in rear..

60/14 setup = 1 in front = 4.3 in back
