Want A Steel Sprocket
Re: Want A Steel Sprocket
I've had the same Vortex sprocket for 3 seasons now (1.5 years of riding to you warm-winter guys) and it's going on its 4th... It still looks like new. Learn to adjust your chain and keep it lubed and aluminum lasts for a long time.
Those custom steel ones look sick though.

we sell steel sprockets, we can make you your own custom design or you can choose from one of ours, any tooth, 525 pitch. and they are powdercoated.
this one is before powdercoating.

Re: Want A Steel Sprocket
Those are super nice. Ive had a Vortex since september and it is showing visible wear. Those powdercoated steel ones are pimp!! How much for a 54t F4i 525 in the 1st star patten any color really??? And do you make them per order?
Re: Want A Steel Sprocket
yes, they are made to order, we can do whatever color powdercoat you want, but if we dont have it in stock, it takes a few days to get it. custom sprockets start at 120 shipped.

just an idea my boy mikeonthebike rocks one and its official....i had a vortex on for 2 years, rode street and lot multiple times a week, had a brand new chain kept it snug and lubed...
i dont see a reason for aluminum sprockets to just break unless they are not properly maintained. your chain should be new or in good shape and well lubed always, and correct tension too
good luck
i got a thrust 62 tooth now and it was used and still holding up fine....
