Mod the factory pickup? GSXR

I've looked around and the couple of places I did find the stuntex pick for my gix are sold out right now. I'm going to take the bike apart this weekend to see if I can mod the factory pick. I've seen pictures of it on the fiche and I've seen the stuntex and they look totally different but think I may be able to cut/weld something to work? Anyone ever done anything like this?

Crap man. Wish I'd of known a few days ago. I have to drive from school back home tho [bout 3 hours] to use all my tools and I'm off this weekend. So, if I buy it from you now then I won't get to put it in until Buda knowns when.

1/4" steel plate that i traced from the stock pick up, cut it to shape, drilled the holes. and then i had a 1/16th wall thickness steel pipe welded onto the flange:YEAH

Only thing I see about the Stuntex pick up is it goes straight down instead of angling forward to the front of the pan.
