Re: The stunt product industry

hrm...

well in any purchase you should at least save a copy of what you ordered, the quantity you ordered, and how much you paid.

then the companies invoice should match up...

if they dont... something got screwed up. if its setup this way it protects both the buyer and seller.

more than likely just a mishap...

i bought a cage from them years ago.....the cage was solid and i thought the customer service was great, i think the guys name is aaron. anyway, a year or 2 goes by and i start to see their cages break and crack on other peoples bikes from just motor vibration not even dropping. then when they call they get no response. years ago 905 was top notch though.

Re: The stunt product industry

I'll throw my in on the subject...

I recently picked up an 04 636 (very common in the stunt world i believe). I called a couple manuf.'s for cage, bar, and subcage, hand brake, sprockets, to be paid right now and in need of now due to a show on march 22nd and have yet to ride this bike (switched for Suz) and explained my situation and here's what i got

FullThrottleINC ( Contacted bill on tuesday to get the new HB, Forks Done, and Pro Bars, Wednesday i had the boxes for the forks on my door step, and sent back out on Thurs, have yet to get them today, but it's still somewhat early and still may, if not till monday, i'm not hating) excellent customer service... (and on a side note about bill, the dipshit i got my bike off of put an 05 top clamp on an 04, which until i talked to bill, thought was interchangable and not a problem (i did not know due to this being my first KAWI) bill, told me to check it and he was right, it's not interchangeable and probably saved me from some head shake problems and/or possible crash! THANKS BILL!!!!!

SI (very respectable) but told me could not guarantee it would be here within 3 weeks.

tygershark said same,

FI was not my first pick, but guess what, they had it in stock! so they got my $$ and was a blast to work with... ( cage and bar ordered):YEAH

Contacted OMR to see what kind of turn around time he has, guess what, he had two in stock, so it'll be here on monday... (subcage ordered):YEAH

Here is what gets me, I have a very good friend that owns pa racing (paracing.com) and is a fabricator just like most everyone else, during the down time he makes xtra parts (just like omr and bill and FI) so that when he does get busy, he is already one step ahead and has no worries about customer service. Everyone understands that companies get busy, but if it's that busy, then fix it, (hire more people, quality control...etc...) I am not a patient person and anyone that knows me, knows this. To have to wait 3+ weeks on what should be very common part is redonkulous....

sorry for the rant, but that's my experience here lately...

i bought a powers cage and 12 bar, they sent it quick believe it or not, it didnt have instructions but was easy enough. which it was over a year ago, maybe they suck now?
OMR is the **** with his subcages, quick shipping and real good price.
i broke a powers cage and they replaced it for free and put it on since i drove up there.
so i give props to powers and OMR, and HAI is always quick and easy
never dealt with the other companies but i think ill stick with these guys for everything

Re: The stunt product industry

funny thing... i just got rapped last night for 22 cents for some sweet n sour sauce. tandemworks seemed to have opened up due to lack of supple for demand. and so have i simply cause i was tired of hearing my buddies bitch and complain about service and wait times from other companies. i have experience with fabing and welding.. so it was only common sense to make my own stuff ...take stuff on the market and make it better... and with a fast turn around time since i just do this for my friends... so anyone else out there need something quick i might be able to help... best thing i got right now are 1" solid round bars... in any size diameter and lenth for your round bar needs. :YEAH

Re: The stunt product industry

yeah i just try to order all my **** a while in advance lol.

i can say tho. i have no clue what some of these companies are doing???? if your gonna have a business that makes and sells **** THEN MAKE IT AND SELL IT, and do it right. like how the **** do you forget to put the hardware in the box???? and maybe simple instuctions. not all riders are bike mechanics lol. stop bullshitting!!!!!

on the other hand thats why i have the sponsors i do because i like to rep people that i think do a good job. yes time to time i see some crazy ****. but the good over ways the bad by far.
