clean air then problem. thoughts please.

did the clean air mod today, real easy felt good then i found a problem. see any thing here. look close.




closer look. see it.








the cross member on the frame or whatever u call it is broke. now my question is what effects will this cause while riding. i gonna ride it anyway but do u guys think it gonna make a differance.

Think about it! If there was enough force to break it dont you think it will cause more problems. i think it will start stressing the frame alot more then normal.

that does suck cause you gotta drop the motor to weld it properly. Find a local tig welder, he might not wanna weld it with the motor in but if you dont care and he doesnt care he should to weld that for $20

well **** never seen that happen before...

i would get it fixed as soon as possible ,the frame clearly flexes alot so if you just keep riding it like that you will probably crack your frame some were else....

yea id get it fixed first , it doesnt look very thick is it tubing or is it solid stock i cant tell ? get a guy to tig it they could do it witout dropin motor id do it if i could

Its going to be extremely difficult if not impossible to weld around the full surface of the pipe with the motor still in. I'd say drop the motor and if going that far, might as well cut the damn pipe out and weld a new one in.
