why shouldn't cops chase bikes?

Hopefully they will enforce a no chase in all states, it would just be safer

 

TRUST ME They will chase you uhmmmm lets just say there was a guy around here who was chased for 22 miles buy 10 or more cops till he got away. In the city they got the helicopter and as intimidating as that sounds he cant follow bikes for $hit... so I hear.... from Kansas City..... where I do not live close to at all...... 5th amendment!

I find this hard to believe, and the legality behind it creates a huge liability for the dept that you claim is enforcing it.

yea got this comunity service crap.... A judges thanks for not running. Well hot dam judge your welcome! So been busy with that, got to finnish up before it gets warm and I get in new trouble. Here is the kicker I really was not doing anything bad 87 in a 55 around a corner with one hand off the bars = 50 hours community service and fine and lawyer fees. The other day cop pulled me over for a wheelie out of town and says "you need to stop doing that" But he and another guy are like the 2 coolest cops I know. My old landlord was HYPO and I knew if someone was running cause they would sit a car near my house just cause He told all his cop buddies that I had bikes....guilty by association.So I had to move now I live in a small little house that smells weird.

 

in july or august 2007 in NY (mount sinai ,longisland) there was a biker who did a wheelie past a cop, the cop turned around, started to chase, the biker went through a green light, by the time the cop caught up the light was red, the cop killed a marine who was visiting home for break and at the wrong intersection at the wrong time.

the cop could have A)let it slide since the biker put the front wheel down and he didnt wreck into anything/anyone B) chase him, never catch him, and posibly kill someone (which he did), or C) hope the biker wrecks and only hurts himself and write him some tickets in the ER...there are too many wanna b super cops on my island

 

You nailed it man. They do that crap too. I was chilling with my buddy in the ER and some cop rolls in and says this wont take long.... I just need an address to put on your C and I?!? WTF My boy missed work cause he was missing flaps of skin and had his bike totaled out.... Stunting no shirt but hey he is an adult. Cop was still a jerk, but we convinced him that my boy was not doing anything and we had a 15 man group against his soccor mom witness... so he got out clean.

This happened in my area and i have read everything i could to keep up on it. I have never seen one report that they talked to the rider he rolled the **** out. I think they screwed up the story there think about it any chance they get to prosecute a rider they are going to do it i think the police department just dont want to admit that they cant find him. The cop was tottallly at fault he never called it in and i have heard that he didnt even have his lights or sirens going.But not sure how true that is.

 

They do that too, I know I am about to get rolled when a car catches up to me and then stays in the outside lane 10 feet back. They try and get your plate before they turn on the disco lights.
