Flipped clipons on an F4i with an upper

I'm trying to put some Vortex clipons on my f4i. I know I've seen other people do it with an upper.. but mine hit the fairing stay bad. Even in the stock location. What am I missing here?

Good luck, I had to hack the **** out of my upper to stop **** from hitting. Depends on the setup...It's much better with the 954 forks and 636 clip ons, those vortex clips move the bars forward so much.

For which bike? I looked under your name and I have a 954 also. The after market clip ons are not that great with clearence for the 954s. since it lowers them an in cause I have them under the upper they hit the ram air duct covers, and my levers hit my headlights. My brake line now hits my gauges. So I am having a problem with mine also. I am not really a stunter, but just because of that I am thinking about getting a newer bike that has it built into the frame like the r1. Sorry I cant really help. If I figure out something that works for my bike I will pm you.

Here's what I ended up with. Problem is.. I hit on both sides.. The throttle cables coming out the tube hits bad. Maybe with the 1000rr throttle tube it wont be so bad

I wish I could move the Brembo over to the inside of the clutch but it just doesnt want to work like that. It mounts up ok but I'd have to cut the clutch lever down way too much

Re: Flipped clipons on an F4i with an upper

I had to cut down my upper and fairing stay alot to get it from hitting with flipped woodcrafts. I gave up from the start on keeping my f4i mint tho.
