bogging?

bogging?
Anyone ever have a problem with their F4i bogging a little bit?
Its not terrible but it really sucks in circles when i need just a little gas.
I took my bike apart about two or three weeks ago to paint it and i hasnt been right since, its like its getting too much air or something. i cant find anything wrong with it.
I got all the vacum lines back on and everything. Im stumped.

Re: bogging?
if it ran good before you took it apart than chances are you missed putting something in place. Go over it again and check the vacuums, hoses, fuel and even the throttle assembly to make sure they're seated properly. It sucks trying to figure it out but I replaced every part possible that might of caused my bogging and in the end a bottle of injector cleaner is what fixed it...at least for now

Re: bogging?
lift your tank and spray all you vacumn hoses and the bottom of your throttle bodies with starter fluid while running if it revs up at anytime theres your vacumn leak, if that does not work try to sync your throttle bdies afterward.

Re: bogging?
if you didnt hook back up your vacume line that goes from your throttle bodies to your map sensor on the left side of your airbox it will cause exactly what you are talking about. if you connected it already make sure it isnt bent, and has a clear path to the sensor. Mine was doing what your talking about and this fixed it. allthough i didnt have mine hooked up at all. I thought it was an overflow at first hahhaa.

Re: bogging?
Ok another month later and still the same ****.
I have tried plugs, injector cleaner, taping the air duct, there are no vacuum leaks, new battery cuz my old one had been in there for a while, clean air mod, different exhaust, new throttle bodies, and new map sensor.
What has me confused now is that when i changed the throttle bodies it ran better for a day then went back to the same **** again. At first i figured it must have been the TPS because it is just like it doesnt have any off idle response, but then it started to do it again.
The same thing happened with the map sensor, worked for a day then started acting up again.
Any more ideas? Im sure someone has run into something similar before.
My last attempt will be an ecu. Anyone got one for a fair price? I dont want to put too much more into it especially if it doesnt fix the problem.

Re: bogging?
every f4i seems to have this prob. especially when you get to that point where your about to enter a circle. I've read all of the bogging threads and they have great suggestions but who feels like working on their bike that much? I decided to live with the bog. for me it means steeper angle of attack meaning higher rpm when entering a circle and or slipping the clutch. It sucks but it's liveable.

Re: bogging?
has the temp outside changed? my f4i ran like hot garbage this winter and the one day it warmed up into the 50's it started running like a champ again. Mine was completely out of nowhere and i tore it all the way down and did everything to it and found nothing wrong. I replaced the plugs and did a full tune up on it.
mine will start to bog, then it acts like it floods out and it dies. i start it up nad it'll run fine for a while then do that cramp. it'll seriously just flood out and die. I tore it down and checked everything and i even had my room mate who is a honda mechanic also look at it. neither of us found anything wrong with it.
then like i said, out of nowhere it just started working great again on the last ride.

Very true. And so far thats what i have been doing, but its getting old trying to do circle combos and just needing a little gas and not being able to get it then high siding the **** out of it cuz i get mad and crank the throttle to keep it going.
But the fast circles are great
(did a few in second last night :YEAH )
Its not so much intermitent anymore. its pretty consistent now. I was thinking weather might have something to do with it but this winter down here has been all over the place. It will be in the 40's one night and then in the 80's the next day, so i dont think that is it.

Re: bogging?
last 2 times i was out i high sided bad as well. last night i broke my cell phone on the fall . I take the attitude that it may be a bit more difficult than what the 636 guys live with but if i keep practicing i can make it work. also it looks better when you take a fast deep angle.
True, it definately adds a difficulty factor for slower stuff.
Fast circles = FUN
