Its been brought up a bunch of times now, the top banner needs to be changed. Particularly the guy wearing a tshirt and shorts. But IMO the whole banner is pretty gay and outdated.

Post up your ideas for a new top banner...not in writing you ******* retard. Post up drawings, sketches...art.

edit: Nevermind ... I guess in another thread he was asking for someone to draw something up and he will change it.

 

it was changed once before last year... but someone bitched about their photography work being used for it, without asking... so it was taken down.

I've posted plenty of pictures that I've taken on here. Whoever wants to make a new one has permission to use anything I've taken.

 

we bitched because it was used with out permission and the watermark was taken out and no credit was given. At that time Cathi was on everyones nuts about ****.... .com this ... can ... cant do that.... I was pissed that they chop out the watermark and then couldnt even ASK to use it... even after we said ... yo just ask us...thier egos got in the way

 

yea, the guy in with the tshirt and shorts on ill represents the sport. The sport has moved past the "hooligans on bikes" stage but there is still that stereotype. there are factory sponsored riders, a legit competition series.
Also, the tricks that are depicted dont represent the level of skill the sport has progressed to.

And yes i do just sit here and stare at the banner, when my internet at work is being a *** and taking forever to load the page i get to sit here and stare at the gay banner.

 

does it have to have the spot open for the warped toys banner? can it take up the whole top section?

whats the big deal with wearing a t-shirt and shorts?????i dont know about anybody else,but i wear what i want..or feel like wearing..why somebody would say wearing shorts is gay is beyond me and makes no ******* sense...when it's 80's in the dead of summer i'll be wearing shorts and doing my thing while ya'll sweat your ***** off in ur leathers...

its not about what you and i wear when its hot out, its about the message that pic conveys. its profesionalism, essencially. You know damn well that i'll be wearing shorts and tshirt once it gets warm out, but thats not the point, the point is that the sport as a whole wants be accepted as a legit sport. inorder to do that profesionalism is must. Having a guy rollin an endo in a tshirt and shorts in the banner on one of, if not the biggest stunt riding website dosn't yell profesionalism.
