well the most common method is to pull the clutch in all the way, open the throttle until it hits the limiter, then POP the clutch. If you didn't hit bp (balance point), check your blinker fluid, it might be a little low

Cheak the Flux Capistor that normally stops wheelies from happening

i just learned to power up from the side....kinda like clutching it from the side....its much hard to do power wheelies....i'd use the clutch
