When was the last time you were in florida? I was riding in orlando and I felt like an outcast on my f4i, if there were 10 bikes at the spot 7 were r6 If there were 20 bikes at the spot, 15 were r6.......there the new hottness I can almost guarantee it...

+1 you can almost bend the subframe with your hands, the engine was moved forward which makes the bp very high, fly by wire throttle takes a lot of time to become smooth with, hard to raise idle, no power under say 9K, the list goes on and on dude

thats what i had after my f4i ate the **** and i ended up selling it, it was to much of a bitch for me and i just didnt enough money to make it comfortable...

the idle is horrible and a pain in the *** to turn up and you have to custom weld this **** to the throttle bodies and it still doesnt run great, i actually like the fly by wire throttle response, but it felt more like a 1000 then a 600 with it, subframe is really fragile and the stock rear peg postion is more cramped it seems then the 600rr IMO
and OMR doesnt make a subcage for it so you will have to make your own ****, the power problem is fine... you have more power anywhere else then say an 01 f4i makes at peak pretty much, but not much torque... the tanks are known to explode in AMA because the sides flare out, so that cant be good for stunting either and no one makes **** aftermarket wise for them in the stunt scene

so i sold it and got an f4i

if you really want to stunt a newer r6 just get the S version, stronger subframe and fixes all those problems i just explained... built just like the 05 r6's

the newer model is the R6V and of course theres the r6s

i hate the fly by throttle on the 07 R6, and the entire bike is cramped IMO i'm not even that tall and i feel like i'm on a freakin powerwheels.

i thought it was already determined that the slipper clutch does not make that much of a difference, alot of bikes have them on them now... new or old

Re: 2006 2007 r6????

i like the bike... it is more than cappable of being rocked. it is a bit tempermental, as far as having to give it more umph( throttle ), but the bike is fine.

only reason i am not on it all th time stunting, is because i have a 05 to tear up. but i am definitely trying to sell the 05, and rock the 06 as the stuntbike. it is a bit cramped on the cockpit, but nothing that clipons wont cure. the bike is the ****!!!

perfect for sitdowns, the position makes you just go back as far as you can!

Slipper clutch only effects downshifts. So you don't lock the rear wheel.

aye... do you think your **** feels like a liter bike after gearing??

we were at the spot these past few days, and people have been inquiring about how the bike feels, (basically askin for a ride) so i let em. my boy compares it to his gixxer 1k on feel, he says it made his f4i feel like ****. using less throttle to bring it up, and the idle is a bit better than a f4i.

what is your take on it, going from one bike to the R6?
