Highway wheelie wobble

I have been having problems with my highway wheelie(55-65)mph 2nd gear stand up. It seems to wobble so bad that I am afraid that it is going to kick out from under me. I can clutch it up going say 30 or so and slowly take it up to speed, but as soon as I hit 45-50 it starts to wobble, the faster i go the worse it gets. Last time I tried I was running the Shinko 190 Stealth with about 11 lbs in it. I am hesitant to let any more pressure out because it makes turning at high speeds very unstable(that occasional cop on the side of the road). Basically my question is, what causes all of this wobble, my friend just said let more air out. I am just wondering if suspension settings would do anything and if it might be a unbalanced wheel or anything?? All I know is that I can ride wheelies from 6mph to 45mph all day long, but I cant get them going fast enough for the highway.
Thanks,
Chris

Re: Highway wheelie wobble

wobble is cause mainly by not being smooth with throttle.. body placement as well.. i would be running more than 11lbs in your tire tho especially on a 190.. i run 28 in a 180.. highway wheelies should be more smooth then slow stuff so if your wobbling your chopping throttle or not being smooth enough.. get some video and post it..

Lower the air pressure, are you kidding!!! You need to be running at least 16 lb's in the rear, but I prefer somewhere around 20-22 lb's. That's pretty much the average for most stunters I believe. Also you might be choppy or your tire is bad. We'll hope that helps.

Peace Justin

stuff foam in your tank to keep the gas from sloshing back and forth. thats why you get the wobblie bobblies.

Dump that Shinko tire! They are ****! They caused my bike to pull when on one wheel. Anyway, the main thing is throttle control though.

Re: Highway wheelie wobble

Thanks, I am hoping that helps. I am pretty smooth with the throttle. I take it that throttle is all that you are supposed to use on the highway, an occasional brake? I did notice that at 45, if I was rough it would start to wobble(throttle then brake) but i could usually clear it up. It was just unfixable at 50+....

skills button.....ha, im not THAT new....lol
