Im bored, so i thought i'd start a thread for a little discussion... topic: circles (believe me there is 80 other areas that need discussed and some tightening up on in the stunt community, but this was on my mind)

Been watching a lot of vids and got to thinking... by now everyone can combo circle, or can learn fairly quickly... but ive been noticing something, especially of the younger/newer guys... circles are getting wider and wider... and not in a good way (fast wide leaned O's need not apply to this discussion)

im talking combo O's... it seems a lot of people are claiming all these combos and stuff... but if you are rocking a circle with the diameter of a car, around 8 feet wide... how hard is it??? remember when everyone was learning O's and we told people doing recon-missions around the lot that it wasnt O's... well, same principle... if you are going 8-10 feet wide, its not really "O" combos, it's recon-combos...

I guess what im saying is Tighten up bitches... it looks better and is WAY harder, i wanna see pirouettes!!!

me and twite were just talking about this yesterday.
and its super boring to watch!
the new circles of 2008= top circles-where your spinning so fast and tight its like your rotating on 1 axis, like a top!

if your on idle in O's and going real slow, do what teach says to do, give it some gas!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

yep! that's what im talking about! And it's funny cause i was waiting for someone to ask who i was talking about.. and i was going to say im not going to put anyone out there... but if you want to see what real nice tight O's should look like take a peak and a Mr.Twite clip!!!

I blame it on learning with the hand brake first and having low tire pressure. It takes real skill to circle wide like Teach or even Mr. John Legion.

anytime guy, lemme know, i live and my shop is 15 min from the woodbine now! i get done work at 7ish... got on the bike for the first time in 2 months this past weekend (been hurt and bike was broken and opened the shop)... so it's game on!!!

 

I personally hate all idle tricks and think they take away from everyone's game. Doing idle combo circles in competition looks retarded.

 

I'll have to hit you up, i miss those days when everyone got along and rode together. For 08 i'm trying to make the effort to get back to that......at least in my corner.

I dont like em super tight.

I like em 8 feet with a lot of lean. The more angle the better.

I also am a fan of throttle intensive circles. idle = smooth and boring

no doubt... been saying it for years too.. but it seems to be making a comback... i was practicing my one-handed-spin-like-top-foot-in-seat E-DUB circles this weekend! haha

 

What about tight, choppy circles?

Sure it looks like you have bad throttle control, but I think it looks way better than smooth tight circles.

 

wait till you see this new leg i got john, i'm gonna take the foot off and sharpen the pipe to a spear head point that will stick in the ground and i will just pivet around it in a circle lol.....
