hrm.

im thinking about making the swtich back to FF/clipon.

i notice some peoples look like they have a angle to them but are flipped so the angle is up.

Re: woodcraft vs vortex clip ons

well if woodcrafts are 0 degree wouldnt there would be no angle.

are you pulling through straight line with them? how wide are they? can you get them with a rise to them?

Re: woodcraft vs vortex clip ons

they are flipped and ther is just a slight increase in angle i also have mine completely straight.. pretty much like a dirt bike feel but with clip ons.. im not pulling through yet but people have on my bike and make it look easy.. i will be pulling through soon.. I just prefer those.. and I would have to check to see if they got angled ones out now.. too much angle sucks tho but i dont like them angled down it makes it harder for me to reach hb and also just feels to weird for me..

Re: woodcraft vs vortex clip ons

i was running FI 0 degree clips for a long time.... they're nice. They're long. The tubes slide up in front of the fork tube.

I hate any clip ons w/ angle... downward or ESPECIALLY UP.

I could pull in or out from spreader to hc vice versa all day long w/ em (both feet at the same time). Straight line....

if you're thinkin about goin back to FF make sure you cut the upper down enough so that your foot dosent get caught up... that will make things suck.

These are a lil pricey... but they're what I run now and what I will be running from here on out.

http://www.convertibars.com/Products.cfm

The FG 0 degree stainless bars.

I LOVE em... 0 degree... they're wide as hell (perfect for all controls to fit w/ extra room)... and they take a ****** beating. I've slammed em into the ground many times already and they don't bend OR crack... they just pivot in... so all you do is loosen up the bolt, re-adjust the bars, tighten back up and go.

I've tried many a setup... dirt bars... stock clipons, stock flipped.... FI which I did like but went through too many replacement bars(they bend just from pushing down too hard on them).

And these have been the best so far... work great w/ FF cause you can adjust em in every way imaginable so your brake levers don't get in the way of your upper.

Lemme find a pic of mine mounted up.....

I wouldn't think so... but I run a Johnny P modified upper anyway (no headlight).

thats funny, i jsut seen those for the first time like 5 minutes ago. lol.

i understand they rotate on impact but couldnt you jsut leave you clip on clamp a tiny bit lose to where no movement for your arms will rotate it but a crash will?

yea i guess... but they do that anyway, whether or not you leave em a lil loose.

honestly, if your runnin a SI cage on an f4i they will RARELY IF EVER touch the ground anyway.

I've only touched em down on some serious tosses that the bike rolls over. Most regular drops, they stay well off the ground.

I run some plastic sliders on the end of em too that seem to help.
