16x18 knob adjuster help?

16x18 **** adjuster help?

how the **** do you get end of the adjuster off. i see the 2 little holes on the sides with what looks like some sort of pin going through but i tried to push it out and it wont budge......?

That tiny pin you see in the hole on either side is a cotter pin, it has to be pushed out with something the exact side or a little smaller....Its a tight fit so you really have to support the adjuster and tap it out, or you can buy a specialty tool for this but it aint cheap...Ive never used a tool I just have a little steel pin I made the same diameter as the cotter pin that I use to tap it out

so dont matter which side you tap it out from then....

No it doesnt matter which side, its not tight to the adjuster ****...Its tight to the push rod...Just be easy on it, tap it out with nice smooth taps.....

i cant get that stupid thing out. any tricks on gettin the retaining clip out of the master? cuz i cant get taht out either.

Ah so your not just trying to change the lever, your trying to swap out a broken top hat and/or bent push rod?

The snap ring should come right out with some snap ring pliers....

Go buy one man, they're a few bucks. I fucked up the adjuster **** on my brembo, so I just set it to the correct length I wanted it from the bars with some pliers and tightened everything down... no **** on it anymore, used to suck cuz it'd hook on my jeans in highchairs but **** it.. I got some wider clip on's now.
