Full Throttle Bill Does It Again! New Hand Brake Era.

Next generation hand brake is done!

So what is it? Well it's the product of everything we've learned making hydraulic components and at the same time the answer to various complaints people have voiced over the four years we've been in the stunt industry. The high points are below, more information follows and the pictures are at the bottom. Give us a call toll free at 877-785-7282 and let us help you step up your game in 2008!

This hand brake is:

Variable Ratio

One model fits all sport bikes

No modification to the rear master cylinder is nescessary

No reservoir on the bar! (the stock res. on the rear master supplies the entire system)

Single caliper, no additional rear caliper is needed

Full use of the foot brake is retained

The hand brake can be used while still applying pressure to the foot brake

the handbrake lever and the clutch lever can be mounted extremely close together

every pivot point is on bearings

Controllable Herculean power at your fingertip!

It is mounted on the fork to remove it from the vulnerable position on the handlebar (in the event of a crash) and for more options regarding the placement of the clutch lever and the hand brake lever in relation to one another. A mechanical clutch lever is much easer to fit underneath another mechanical clutch than an entire master cylinder is. It is also much less expensive to replace than a Brembo master cylinder should your bike come down (even at slow speed) on the left hand side.

What makes it variable ratio?

The mechanical lever is linked to the master cylinder with a top quality clutch cable. There are 4 points at which the cable can enter the master cylinder, which correspond to four points at which the cable end is retained. The first setting is slightly less powerful than a Brembo 16 x18 brake master for people that want a firmer feel at the lever. The next 3 positions are each incrementally more powerful. Most will run the brake with the cable in the 2nd or 3rd position as you have a light enough lever pull to be highly effective but still have enough feedback and lever pressure to tell what you are doing. The fourth position is too much of a mechanical advantage to be practical for most applications, but I'd rather give people the option for excess than have them think they are missing out on some additonal potential!

Re: Full Throttle Bill Does It Again! New Hand Brake Era.

its cheap! compared to a 16x18 setup! with an adapter a 16x18 is like $330, and with double caliper a 16x18 is like $495.

i second ryans! Bill for President!

Re: Full Throttle Bill Does It Again! New Hand Brake Era.

brilliant! the brake line routing will look interesting with two lines running from this master cylinder to the back... but i love it!

and it should pretty much be the last handbrake you buy since it doesn't have to suit any bike in particular.

with the 4 adjustment points on the master, coupled with an ezpull lever with 3 adjustment points, you should be able to set it up in heaps of ways and experiment without having to find another master with different bore dimension.
