f4i subframe????????

I was wondering if you could take a banna style subframe thats coming on the new f4i's and cut off any brackets or what ever to fit the older two seat style....? ive got the two seat style now and the only subframes i can find are the long single seat type and i ******* hate them so i wanna figure out whats the diffrence....thanks for any help you can....!

Re: f4i subframe????????

i know they're pretty much the same other than the seat brackets. i run an f4i double seat subframe on my f4 and it bolted right up. i would think if you found a good fabricator it should work... i'm not 100% sure though...

Re: f4i subframe????????

the exhaust mounting point doesnt line up and neither will the pegs if i remember correctly. And it doesnt have the latch that catches the rear seat. so imo, no they will not work in place of each other. they will mount on the frame but the accessory's dont match up.

yeah i forgot to mention that. f4 and f4i have differnet rearsets, but only in the back. the pipe definately does not line up so you need to make a bracket which is pretty easy. if you have a messed up f4i subframe you could possibly make a new subframe out of the two different subframes.

Re: f4i subframe????????

Anyone know if an f4 cage would mount to an f4i? I am not sure if the mounting points are exactly the same, anyone ever try?

i know you can switch between motors, meaning the frames have the same motor mount points. hope that helps
