Vortex F5 hardcoat sprockets?

The new PTFE coated hard-anodized sprockets....anyone try these out yet?

Looking for a more durable sprocket, and wondering if the '30% longer lasting' claims are true. I'm also having trouble finding them in a 52-54 tooth size for an F4i. Any info?

Yeah the Geared Steel are nice...but pricier, and they only sell 'em in 5 tooth increments ie. 50 (too low), 55 (too high), etc. And they don't come in that purrdy anodized black with the siiiiick Vortex twisted pattern. Maybe when I man up I'll get one, but for now I want one of those F5's.

Re: Vortex F5 hardcoat sprockets?

Maybe I should have changed my question since I'm already set on the Votex F5....to "Where can I find one in 52-54 tooth for an F4i?" Or maybe one of those cool Driven sprockets with the steel teeth and aluminum center?

Go 55 and then plus one in the front
Then you can go back down to stock size in the front once you get used to the gearing.
Gearedsteel will powdercoat the sprockets

there is no substitute for steel. **** rotating unsprung mass jibberish. go for durability. go for steel. 60 tooth in the back, 15 in the front. and a 530 chain all day.

all true except for the 530 chain......

there's absolutely NO NEED for a 530 if you're riding a geared stunt bike.

i've been runnin 520 since 95' on all sorts of bikes... never a problem.

Tandem Designwurx makes custom designed steel sprockets and they are durable as hell. and they will powdercoat it too.
