For the riders out there that use/have used insurance policy's for stunt shows, who did you go through, what company's are out there that would cover us to do stunt shows? Also is it possible to obtain coverage for 1-2 days?

Everytime Ive done a show its been through promoters or companies and i made it clear that its their venue and show so they pay.

Plus the people sign a waiver just like one at race tracks.

 

In some venues insurance is a MUST and usually a 2 million dollar liability policy especially if you are on city, county or state property! No matter how many liability waivers you sign, or companies are involved!

 

nope. i did 2 shows the city knew of in the dowtown district. they knew we were doing them becuase we had to get permits to shut the street down.

but thats just around here. One guy from the city said a lawyer written waiver should suffice if we submit it to him for a review a week before.

not saying your wrong but we did it twice and thats what they said. it may be different in other places.

best thing to do is to just call the city and a lawyer and figure it out with them. thats what we did.

Yeah thats the usual method. But now that I am trying to book shows on my own, one of the biggest things that comes up is insurance.

i did a show downtown indianapolis on the street. had the permit but no insursance, if something was to of happened i wouldve been fucked.
dan call around to differnet insurance companies and ask who sells event insurance w/ million liability. some will do it for when you have the events others do it quartely to yearly. hope that helps.

you can download pretty hi-res certificates of insurance online.. and with a lol photoshop.....


i pay almost a grand per show for my 2mill insruance policy.

okay what about say like bubba blackwell that buel guy that travels around to different harley dealerships and does shows, do you think the dealership is paying for the insurance or do you think he is paying and that just get added to the bill..??

I mean to be paying grand per show how much are they paying you that your still making money. I can see getting paid enough at big events, but what about the small time guys, how are they supposed to do a show when they are only getting like 800 bucks total for the show...??

 

There would most likely be no insurance involved for a small show thats only paying out $800. The other thing you can do to make money at shows is merchandise.

We did two small shows at a chevy dealership but there was no insurance or any of that even talked about hahah thank god nothing happen thats for sure

 

get into old cars!

 

we have a 1 mil from AIG and it was about $400 per event

 

you idiots shouldnt be doing shows for $800
