Re: acerbis diamond

i would say they are decent at making you apear to be legal ,but are not d.o.t. they provide very little light , at most 20 feet ahead of the bike. also replcement bulbs are hard to find. and the electrical connections behing the bulbs erode quicky, very hard to keep moisture out. if your stunt piece is also you daily they suck

Re: acerbis diamond

Here are a whole bunch of different lights. These are not DOT approved but are great as a replacement for the Acerbis which were not DOT either. I sell these things like hotcakes in place of the Acerbis. The only Acerbis that was DOT approved I believe anyways was the Cyclopes

Re: acerbis diamond

Convert the acerbis or "bike it" light to HID. contact Rich S. of www.simpleracing.com he makes HID kits for quads from automotive HID kits, they a quality product. i'm sure he could make an HID kit for the acerbis & your bike or atleast point you in the right direction.

Well the only Acerbis is the Cyclopes that is DOT approved. Most places are on back order or they don't carry them anymore. I would just convert. The Bikeit Falcon that I sell is E-Marked approved which is basically the same standards as DOT I believe just the European Standards.

Re: acerbis diamond

Well technically they can get sued if people were using them for Street use without proper disclosure plus most of the aftermarket signals, eliminators and all that stuff are not DOT approved that people use.

let me see what I can find out about if they got sued or not.
