doesnt really make sense to buy a brand new bike just to stunt it, but if youve got the cash go for it

Re: 03/04 636 vs 07 636

there is no 07 636 they only make 600s now. i had an 06 636 which is very similar to the 07 zx6r and the only real issue i had was that the rims are weak and sorta expensive compared to other rims. i dont run 12 bars so the subframes arent an issue to me, just scrape the stock exhuast which is tough as hell.

I think thats a myth as I run 05+ wheels on my 03/04 and dont notice a difference in how strong they are. They are made by the same company and the rim itself is exactly the same, only the hub and spokes are differnt. Im on my first 05+ front wheel, but Ive been through 3 03/04 front wheels so. If you really think they are weaker then run a 03/04 front wheel, it bolts right on to any 03-08...

all i know is ive never bent a rim on any bike cept the 06, and it was only from a mild drop and the whole rim was bent so bad i couldnt ride the bike more than 35mph.

Im pretty sure their the same, the rims are so the sprocket carrier shouldnt have changed either...If your trying to find out if your sprocket will fit Im pretty sure it will.

I have rode plenty of 07's. I work at a motorcycle shop and I am the only test rider I like everything else about the bike except the no bottom & midrange. The 03-04 motors feel the strongest to me out of 03 & up 636's and 600's and I have ridden **** loads of them. If you are using it just to stunt, I would stick with your 03'

yeah rich i rode brents new 07 and it sucked compared to both my 05's. low end is crappy but it could be fixed with some gearing im sure. the 07's are sick looking! but having ridin all the years i think the 03/04 is a really nice bike i sometimes think it rides better then mine. but i think the 05/06 feels way better for stoppies and mine is more comfortable

Hes right. The bike is a terd under 6000 rpm. Honestly has no ***** until 10k then pulls like a bat out of hell until 16.5k. Mine is experience , I own one. IMO, it wont make a good stunt bike unless is has a sprocket the size of the rim on it.

edit**
636 is much better , not a dog at slow speeds. Ive ridden both.

Re: 03/04 636 vs 07 636

I got an 04 and 07. My 07 is stock so there is really no comparison, I plan to lot stunt it after the 04 is toast. But for now its just for transportation and highway wheelies. I think once its set up it would be fine.
