squid and clutch lever setup
squid and clutch lever setup
very, very new stunter here and i can already feel the hate from the question im bout to ask.
does the clutch lever setup of the clutch and rear brake being coupled on the left handle replace the rear brake on the right foot or just make another rear brake access point?
also going from the rear brake in stock position to the left handlebar, whats the learning curve like to get used to it? thanks. take it easy on the squid

Re: squid and clutch lever setup
alright i dont use hb yet but ive heard from some guys that if you hit the hb and the footbrake at the same time theyll cancel each other out and next thing you know your searchin ebay for a subframe

Re: squid and clutch lever setup
I've never actually tried to stop myself with both at the same time, but I've used my hb with my foot still putting some pressure on the foot brake. It was a weird fealing and I immediatly took my foot off the brake and comtinued useing the hb. I can't confirm whether or not they will still stop you if used at the same time though.
You wont have that problem if you have a dual caliper set up.
Re: squid and clutch lever setup
No, but it all depends on what setup you have. The two would just contradict each other if they exist in the same system. The dual caliper setup uses two separate hydraulic systems while the tapping method uses one.
Re: squid and clutch lever setup
whoever told you that should punch themself in the face.
Re: squid and clutch lever setup
please take the criticism elsewhere. thanks
Re: squid and clutch lever setup
on mine using one pressurizes the other, as for using both at the exact same time, i havent tried it. but i do know that if one is held the other wont work because the brake is engaged
Re: squid and clutch lever setup
because youre wasting our time asking a question about something you cant ******* do
Re: squid and clutch lever setup
haha wicksthewolf, meet stock05. he prides himself on being a dick and saying lame *** quotes in ever thread such as "punch yourself in the face" or "are you ******* cereal" lol anyways definately learn footbrake before trying a hand brake.
