Yep , once I get past the downed branches in front of my garage door, slide along the ice, drift on down the driveway, and limbo under the sagging power lines, just to get to the streets.................. I'm golden!

Re: its bad real bad

thats just it, you can avoid a hurricane, that and they "usually " dont hit the same spot twice in a season. if you live up north the cold, snow & ice are coming no matter what and you cant avoid them. Hurricanes are just wind & water for the most part. just think of it as a big thunder storm that lasts for a whole day! tornados freak me out though.

thats as hell, but the tires just dont look quite right.....I'll steal some salt from a truck and melt of the ice from my driveway before I do that....somin bout being on ice scares me....so being on a big *** heavy bike on ice is outta the question

Man, I have bike withdrawals all the time..When I'm on straights in my car/truck, I make "clutching up" sounds...if I approach a deep curve I speed up and take it real late, lean my head to the side...I hit bp in my work chair daily...and whenever I see a bike out in the cold or rain, I damn near break my neck trying to look, like Ive never had a bike before....Its crazy!

+1 bro, i haven't ridden since sunday and i'm in the worst mood today that i've been in for a LONG TIME.

I'll try and hop on the street peice after work and nail 100+ right quick, that always seems to calm me down.

Re: its bad real bad

i'm glad my accident happened in the fall, i can deal with NOT riding on the ice this winter.....it's fun, don't get me wrong....but it's still a pain in the ***, riding on even the best stud set up still feels like riding in the rain and it's just plain dangerous, if you mouse trap and get ran over by 2000 studs, your DONE for.....jesus.....if you try this, please check out the thread i posted in vertical mischief's forum on how to properly stud tires.....i'm actually happy that it's snowing out as i sit here and deal with nonstop pain every day....

Re: its bad real bad

I was so deprived from riding I put on my snow pants, boots, leather+ carhart over that. and wore 2 pairs of golves. Its 23 degrees out right now, so it had to be atleast 5 degrees while I was riding. Couldnt clutch it up for the life of me, cold tire, no traction, big golves, CANT pull lever fast enough.

Re: its bad real bad

i agree with everyone... this sucks. i went to start up the fiddy today just cuz i could hack the cold for a quick neighborhood run. the piece of **** had a fouled plug somehow. it was like a kick in the nuts.

what pisses me off more than the snow, is all the sand all over the freaking roads. what the hell good does that do anyway?!? come spring it will take a long *** time for that **** to leave the roads. by then there will prolly be fresh powder on the ground all over again... screw indiana.

Hell yeah on the carhardts though! i have those and they worked well last year on the fiddy, might try it this winter on the big bike if i grow some *****...
