Re: so ive been building my own cage?
thanks for the input on the cage, it doesnt seem that heavy to me but i havent had anything to compare it to so i guess that doesnt matter. Ive never had it hit my shins while riding i was tryin to make the cage so i only needed to build it once, ive also been building cages for a 04 gsxr 600 and a 07 gsxr 600 so ill try to get pics of those also
Re: so ive been building my own cage?
even though he was a little harsh i agree with crew that you will get use to the extra weight of the cage and it looks like it will take a good beating..
Re: so ive been building my own cage?
i bet it is....nice metal-fab work, no way u're gonna have anyproblem with the cage bustin up....maybe some trouble with the bolt....btw what did you do for sliders....???
Re: so ive been building my own cage?
Your cage looks real nice:YEAH the only thing I see wrong is your main impact spot on the frame.....its hollow there and this is what I had happen to my frame with a cage that mounted like that.
Re: so ive been building my own cage?
Pretty sick...if I didn't sell my welding machine I would also attempt a homemade cage job. I used to make frame braces and what not for my Camaro.
