EZ Pull inline, lever, or both?
Re: EZ Pull inline, lever, or both?
MSR Pro Raptor is nice, i don't see how you could break the lever though, unless you really trash it hard and bend bars to **** and destroy all your controls. it comes with a nylon spacer type thing the goes between the bar and the perch so when the lever impacts the whole perch spins on the bars but it stays inplace while riding. mine works great.
i am gonna do OMR's EZ pull mod though, i have stubby fingers and every damn lever i get is just a little too far from the bars to grab comfortably for me...god damn genetics.

Same here bought the moose and the adjuster pretty much crumbled. Buddies did the same but he went with another brand and was able to use his stock adjuster with it.
I'm running inline as of now. Really want to do the OMR mod soon.

Re: EZ Pull inline, lever, or both?
I have had the Moose Ultimate Clutch perch/lever and now have the MSR Pro Raptor. they are almost identical except for the lever itself. The MSR has 3 position settings instead of 2 and that 3rd one makes a difference, also the MSR lever is wider and comes with rubber grip.
Anyway, I reccommend the MSR Pro Raptor over the Moose Perch
If you have a non-gsxr, then right away you can pop the spring off where OMR is talking about extending that bracket. The spring on that end does nothing but make it harder to pull as well.
Extending that bracket is def the way to go

Mine broke when I flipped my f4i
it was the only thing that broke
hand brake was perfect, bars wern't bend
And I even had the clutch pulled up the bar far..
but on my MX bars everything sticks out far, and I DID flip the bike HARD
Re: EZ Pull inline, lever, or both?
With doing the mod OMR described, do you have any problems adjusting the clutch so it fully engages and disengages? seems like with the longer arm, the actual clutch arm wouldnt move as much... thats kinda vague i realize, but i'm just wondering. thinkin of doin it to my f4i in the future...

but its just teh same as using the MSR or the inline setup.. The easier you make the pull, the further you gotta pull it
It's fine as long as you do 1 mod, or the other, or both but don't extend the arm a WHOLE bunch..
Re: EZ Pull inline, lever, or both?
I used to recomend the inline ez pull untill my boys AND mine broke the same day. The cable they use in those little things SUCK. Both broke w/ no obvious signs of wear. My cable basically sheared right at the button they use inside the ez pull. I'm all about the OMR mod.
