I hope that thing about when your going slow you dont need a lid is a joke... If not that is the dumbest thing i have ever seen someone say but yet i hear it all to often. Keep your helmet on it will save your life.

 

my throttle got stuck once when I clutched it up from almost a dead stop... would have split my melon if not for the lid... they said it sounded like someone hit my helmet with a baseball bat... to each his own though...

And yeah i understand its up to them but i dont understand how someone can not care about there head being bashed ... I was on a bike not even running at a race and some guy came off the track and nailed me in the side and my head slamed in to the tree i was leaning next too... Lucky me i had my helmet on as i always do.
