what is everyone using to film? I wanna buy something affordable but still decent quality, what are you using? can you give me a Brand and model number or even a link would be fine, I need something asap..

Sony vx 2100.. Best all around camera for ur buck.. Can get a used 1 on ebay and will be fine. Got my 2nd 1 from there.. Pro skaters use it, people make short films on it, its perfect, that's all I use and I've been makin vids and sit for awhile..

we filmed most of SBA1 on my $700 sony mini dv. most decent mini dv's are fine. just dont get a garbage brand.

 

stick to Mini Dv, in my opinion they have the best quality. If want to go cheap, try out the Canon cameras, they have pretty decent quality. You can get a good one for about $600.

 

There on there for 1200 sometimes, get the vx1000, that will be cheaper and its just as good...

vx1000 is pretty tight, I've seen some go on ebay for about $600 sometimes, just gotta keep an eye out.

 

anything that is 3ccd for sure other than that ur gonna hate it when it comes to filming riding and def stick with minidv everything else is more trouble than its worth...... u can pick up a panasonic gs320 for around 400 bucks on newegg.com its 3ccd the quality is really good and to the untrained eye or if ur gonna be youtubing videos no one will be able to tell the diff between it and a gl2

Just picked up a Canon XH-A1...Not cheap but it is one hell of a camera !

 

I just picked up a sony hc1000 and love it so far the quality is great and you can find them for some decent prices on ebay also.

I bought the Samsung SC-X210L and I love it...... Also cam with a bullet camera so I use that instead of a bulky tank mount............

 

i dont know what your budget is but i got a sony DCR-HC28. It cost me 2 bills and works fine. simple to use with average graphics. I use it for snowboarding and stuff its very small. 4.5 inches long, 3 inches tall, 2.5 inches wide.

 

it also has like a knock off night vision. it helps in the dark but it cant be pitch black
