Brake Caliper Protection??

I saw some bikes dropped and it looked like the front caliper and disk hit the ground even with cages mounted so why are there just a few riders with something like this mounted on the front wheel?
I think these are for tricks but shorter ones couldn't be helpful?

Usualy the caliper and disk donīt hit the ground but I put these pads on my bike to protect the forks from getting rashed.

Re: Brake Caliper Protection??

I put all thread and some sliders on to save my fork tubes. Never had a caliper or rotor hit but I did break a lower fork leg.

Yeah it looked like the caliper hit the ground but I think it just hit the hell out of the fork end. Well, how are those things called? Maybe I can find some around here. You know if Louis.de have something like that?
