freestyle ingenuity cage 03-04 636
Re: freestyle ingenuity cage 03-04 636
lol!!! Yeah Acid drop from the backseat gone bad.. no grip tape and he slid off... cage creased it head on at about 40 ish.. the subcage peg hit it too.. bent that bolt but didn't damage the bike at all. Amazing!!
Don't get me wrong his cage looks like it's been through Iraq, but the bike hasn't suffered much damage, one broke peg and one swingarm nut broken that I can remember

Re: freestyle ingenuity cage 03-04 636
dropped my 06 600rr with an FI cage at about 40mph. actually it did a highside pancake after a coaster gone wrong and the cage held up perfectly. the only problems with the FI cages are the people who installl them

Re: freestyle ingenuity cage 03-04 636
if you install a FI cage properly and keep up with is, just make sure its tight you are good to go...my 2 worse wrecks to date came this year and nothing at all happened cuz i keep my new cage tight...
snapped my forks at about 50 or so bike flipped about at least 3 times and nothing happened....my FI cage help up perfect.
stuntwars 07 went down at about 60-65 during stoppie practice bike flippped at least 3-4 times was 2-3 ffeet in the air and nothing happened....cause the cage was tight and kept up with....
i have been lazy in the past and ridden with a loose cage and have craked a few stator covers....so stop being lazy tighten the FI cage and ur golden..
these are sum pix from my crash at struntwars that m FI cage held up to

Re: freestyle ingenuity cage 03-04 636
bullshit! i would always tighten my fi cage before i rode and i still ended up buying a stator, and cover because the damn cage flexed into the bike. not to mention i was always replacing the bolts because they bend easy. and i always get the front wheel to the ground before the bike falls. i dont know, i guess some are stronger than others, but mine was garbage! . ya i like the fi for its look and size, but its not strong. i have had an si on my 636 all year and nothing is stronger.

damn dude that sux...I flipped my F4I and broke the axle and bent the forks..but nothing protected by the FI cage got fucked up...but I believe that different cages work better in different bikes
Re: freestyle ingenuity cage 03-04 636
My bike is the one that smacked the fire hydrant at around 40, and my SI cage took the entire force of the hit. When I was first learning with a 12 bar, I dropped the bike straight from 12 several times, and nothing ever broke except half a peg once. The bike fell off the tailgate of the truck once and didnt even scratch the new paint on the tail or tank. My cage looks like its been through a war, but it is still holding strong.
I think a FI might work if you arent dropping the bike hard, but I dunno. I have seen FI cages bend in and break stator covers multiple times.

I will give you that.. FI cages do work great on F4i's.. actually the only bike I've seen them work great on...
Re: freestyle ingenuity cage 03-04 636

+1 FI was my second choice for a cage, but I LOVE my SI cage....
Re: freestyle ingenuity cage 03-04 636
ps 905 isnt all that they are made up to be. I have them on two different bikes and they both cracked....and they are shin splitters if you dont wear shin guards
