maxxis tires

Has anyone been rocking Maxxis tires? I know teach uses them, but I was wondering how the front tire is on the street.

Re: maxxis tires

The fronts are poop.

The rears are awesome - especially for burnouts and circles.

NOT TRUE SIR!

The OLD maxxis fronts were "junk"... (ie, not great in the traction area) but the NEW front that was on teach's bike for XDL East has great traction!!! I know from first hand experience... great traction and feels similar to a pilot...

the rears are ****, pretty much great for everything!

Re: maxxis tires

Pretty much all my friends run them and they'll be my next tires. Adam is the best rider out of my group and he swears by them, whether he's dragging knee or rolling stoppies.

Re: maxxis tires

new Presa fronts are awesome! never slip for me at all. the Supermaxx rears r great for burnouts, wide circles...everythinh really.

saw a set of Presas in action at big willow traxkdat yesterday & they looked good there too.

for stunting the presas up front & supermaxx in rear is the hot setup I think. I got all the norcal guys hooked on the supermaxx rears already!

Re: maxxis tires

I just got my Maxxis Supermaxx rear tire today. The Pilot Road was on backorder at HAI & Tice told me him & Joe Vert love them & they have em in stock so I bought one of those.

Heard it from the man himself, I'll trade the pilot for the presa up front and give the supermaxx a shot on the rear soon.

Im gonna get slammed for this but I've been runin Tomahawk t3's in the rear for about a year. They stick for me even in 30 degree temps almost right out of the garage and they burn forever. The sidewalls are nice for wide o's never an issue even thoough they are retreads. Plus 70 bucks a tire shipped to your door it doesnt matter how many I go through a season.
